Mr. Gilbert G. McKinnon, 76, of South Boardman, died Mon, May 23, 1994 at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. McKinnon had been a resident of the area for the past 10 years. He was a life member of the Land O'Lakes VFW Post #8684 and a member of the Moose Lodge #2348. He retired from the Air Force in 1970, after 20 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was born on Dec 29, 1917, in Allegan, to John and Florence Krumbin McKinnon. On Nov 20, 1938, in Kalamazoo, he married Virginia DeWard, who survives.
Also surviving are one sister, Bertha Mae Lisk of South Haven, one nephew and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
A memorial service was held Thu, May 26, 1994 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska Rev. Rickford DeWard officiated. Military Rites were conducted under the auspices of Land O'Lakes VFW Post #8684, and the Moose Lodge offered a memorial tribute.
