Geraldine "Jerry" Baxter, 71, passed away Sun, Jul 27, 2008 at her home in South Boardman. She was born on Oct 26, 1936 in Hillsdale, MI to the daughter of the late Harold and Iva (Wilkens) Dougherty.
Geraldine married Charles "Fritz" Baxter on Apr 5, 1953 in Hillsdale. She served as the South Boardman Township Clerk for over 25 years. Geraldine was an avid bowler and was past president and secretary of several leagues. She was also past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.
Geraldine is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Fritz; her daughters, Ruth (Craig) McCullough of Albion, Rosemarie Dumeney of South Boardman; her son, Charles "Lynn" (Sandy) Baxter of Sheperd; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Patricia Feight.
Visitation for Geraldine will be on Wed, Jul 30, 2008 from 5 to 8 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The funeral services will be held Thu at 1 pm at the funeral home with Terry Williams officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Hillsdale.
