Geraldine Ann Gilmore, age 76, of Fife Lake passed away peacefully Thursday, December 1, 2011 with her family by her side. She was born June 16, 1935 in Springfield Twp, to Rheo and Mary (Hejnal) Gilmore. Gerry graduated from Fife Lake High School in 1953. She worked for Michigan bell for 31 years and was a member of their Pioneer organization, which did charity work in the community.
Gerry was a member of the Rebeccah’s and loved to hunt, fish, and camp. She was a fan of sports and was always cheering for her Beach Bum Boys! Gerry enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews; she always had a goodie when they came to visit.
Gerry will be greatly missed by 5 siblings: Claudina Cowherd of Fife Lake, Carol (Gary) Wolfe of Roscommon, Ronald (Sharon) Gilmore of Grand Ledge, Beverly (Bob) Evans of Central Lake, and Gary (Sandra) Gilmore of Fife Lake. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Gerry was preceded in death by her parents.
Gerry’s family would like to thank the staff of Kalkaska Memorial Eden Center for their compassionate care during the years of her stay.
A visitation will be held Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 5-8pm at the Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley. A funeral will be held Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior also at the funeral home.
