Gerald Lynn "Jed" Wells, 53, of Burton, died Tuesday, August 14, 1990, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihue Kaua, Hawaii.
Mr. Wells had been a resident of Burton for the past 25 years. At the time of his death, he was employed by G.M. Truck & Bus - Flint Assembly Plant, and was a member of U.A.W. Local 598. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
He was born in Kalkaska on April 20, 1937, to Minor and Mildred Rosenberg Wells. On November 26, 1960, in Kalkaska, he was married to Roseleen Wenzel who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Gerald Wells, Jr. of Flint, Jody Wells of Grand Blanc, Minor W. Wells, II of Milwaukee, Wisc., an Robert Wells of Ft. Knox, Ky.; two brothers, Dale Wells of Kalkaska and Larry Wells of Goodrich; and two granddaughters.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug 20, 1990 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Wesley Beasley officiated. Burial was in Excelsior Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
