Gerald "Jerry" Lee Coppens born Oct 15, 1938 has gone to be with our Lord on the 3rd of June, 2009. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Father, and Sister: Otto and Adella Coppens and Carol Coppens-Baker.
Jerry was a dedicate and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Left behind are his wife of 49 years, Frances Coppens; children: Michelle and Jimmy Whitley, Tracie and Randall Reed, Bryan and Brandi Coppens. Grandchildren: Matthew Whitley, Zachary Moller, Trevor Reed, Katlyn Coppens, Jordan Coppens, and Shyann Coppens.
Jerry dedicated his life to the Manned Space Flight Program at NASA. He worked at JSC for 42 years on programs from Gemini to the International Space Station. He will be greatly missed.
There will be a Memorial service Sat, Jun 6, 2009 at 1 pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 Broadway Pearland, TX 77581. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in "Jerry's" name to the American Diabetes Association.
