Gerald A. Blocker, 52, of Mancelona died suddenly Saturday, Oct. 13, 1990 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mr. Blocker had been a resident of the Mancelona area for 20 years living in Coldsprings Township, Kalkaska County.
He was a plant manager for Altair International in Boyne City. He served with the U.S. Air force, and he was a graduate of the University of Michigan. He enjoyed boating and bow hunting, and he was an avid sportsman. He belonged to the Michigan Bow Hunter's Association.
On Jan 6, 1938 he was born in Detroit to Gerald and Doris (Shadock) Blocker. In Bellaire on Dec. 29, 1989 he was married to Betty Hoffman, and she survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Alycea at home, and his step-mother, Alice Blocker of Dearborn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Oct 17, at the Paullin Funeral Home in Mancelona with Rev. Gary Coates officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
