George Scramlin, age 44, of Burton, died July 5, 1999 at Hurley Hospital in Flint. George was born February 22, 1955 to Claude and Marjorie (Gibbons) Scramlin of Lapeer. He grew up in Lapeer and worked as an attendant at Oakdale Regional Center for many years. He was a free spirit who loved his family, friends, motorcycle and rock concerts. He will be sadly missed. George is survived by: sisters, Jill (Gene) Nash of Flint, Joyce Bonesteel (Ike Ford) of Arcadia Township, Jane Scramlin of Lapeer, Deborah (James) Dickenson of Lapeer; brothers, Claude Scramlin of Traverse City and John (Jennifer) Scramlin of St. Joseph; many nieces and nephews; special friend Terry Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 8, 1999 from noon until 9mp. Funeral service will be held Friday, July 9, 1999 at 11am at Baird Newton Funeral Home in Lapeer with burial in Mt. Loretto Cemetery in Lapeer.
