Former Fife Lake man dies in the west

George Rancour, son of Alphonse and Mary Rancour, was born at Westmeath, Ontario August 28, 1875 and departed this life Feb 21, 1954. The family moved to Michigan and settled at Cheboygan. He came to Fife Lake in early boyhood. He married Estelle Aldridge. Two children were born to this union, one son Gorval, who died two years ago, and a daughter, Mrs. Ed Gray of Kennewick WA, with whom he lived during his last years. Following the death of his wife Mr. Rancour moved to Spokane, WA. Where he married May Myers, who preceded him in death. Services were held in Spokane Feb 25 where burial was also made. Surviving besides the daughter are two sisters, Mrs. Leo Johnson of Fife Lake and Mrs. Margaret Willyard of Royal Oak also three brothers, David of Summit City, Ephraim of Buckley and Earl of Detroit. Also seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
