George R. Crocker, 72, of Fife Lake, died Sun, May 4, 1997, at his home. 

Mr. Crocker served with the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII, and retired from the U.S. Parks Service. 

He was born in Grand Blanc on Aug 5, 1924, son of the late Forest and Iva Geroll Crocker. 

Surviving are his guardian and friend, Shirley Johnson, and his friends at the Gentle Care Adult Foster Care Home. 

Memorial services will be held at 2 pm. Friday at the Gentle Care Adult Foster Care Home under the auspices of Land O'Lakes VFW Post 8684. 

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska.
