George Allen, 77, of Rogers City passed away Mar 26, 2012 at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb 22, 1935 in Mayfield Township to Frank and Alice (Ludington) Allen.
George served in the US Army from 1952-1955.
On May 6, 1960, George was united in marriage with Evonne Sherk in Midland, MI. The Allens moved to Rogers City in 1970.
Mr. Allen is survived by: his son, Dan (Liz) Allen of Lebanon, IN; two grandsons, Andrew LaLonde and Erik (Justine) LaLaonde; six great grandchildren: Danielle, Logan, Kamryn, Katie, Megan, and Eli; two sisters, Dorothy (John) Small and Patricia Brown. He was preceded in death by, wife, Evonne; five brothers: Bob, Jack, Ralph, Phil, and Don; four sisters: Helen, Barbara, Mary, and Ramona.
Rogers City Masonic Lodge 493 conducted his memorial service at the Beck Funeral Home on Thu, Mar 29, at 2pm.
