George G. Wixon, 70, of Alpena, died Wed, Oct 1, 2014 at home.
George was born Mar 21, 1944 in Yale, MI to Ace and Eva (Morgan) Wixon. He married Linda Stoinski on Jul 15, 2011. He loved to hunt bear, spending as much time as he could in the woods and time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Linda; three sons, Tony (April), Tim (Jackie), Tom; three step children, Steven (Theresa) Clark, Debra (Jim) Williams, and Michael Clark; four grandchildren, Kayla, Chad, Morgan, Virginia, Claudia; six siblings, Lee Wilson, Rock, Bill, Emmette Wixon, Caroline Davis and Mary Eckstein.
Family and friends will gather on Sat, Oct 11, 2014 at McWilliams Funeral Home – Alpena from 12 noon until the time of the memorial service at 1 pm with Rev. Jim Gulish officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Elk Country Humane Society in Atlanta, MI or the Alpena Senior Citizens Center.
