Fife Lake Resident Dies Wednesday, May 29

George Franklin Stampfler, 66, of Fife Lake died early Wednesday morning May 29, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Emogene Fralick of Fife Lake.

Mr. Stampfler was born January 17, 1891, in Springfield Township, Fife Lake, the son of the late Nellie and Edward Stampfler. He was united in marriage to Miss Hannah Swanson of Lake City, who passed away in September 1922. He was a farmer in the Fife Lake community all his life until his failing health made that no longer possible.

Surviving are two sisters, Mr.s Emogene fralick of Fife Lake and Mrs. Charles Hicks of Manton; several nephews and nieces and many other relatives.

The body was taken to the Smith Funeral Home, and the funeral services were held from the Fife Lake Methodist Church, Saturday afternoon at 2:00 with Rev. Gordon Terpenning officiating. Burial was made in the Fife Lake Cemetery.-Leader and Kalkaskian, June 13, 1957.
