George D. Underhill, age 63, of Dryden, passed away on Jan 16, 2022. George was born in Hopkinsville, KY on Jul 15, 1958 to George L and Irma Underhill. He graduated from North Hardin High School and continued his studies at Mott Community College. He married the love of his life, Melody in 1985. He was a devoted husband and father.
George worked for Atlas Copco as an electronic service field engineer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. George liked to travel and was quite the jokester with a great sense of humor. He was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
George is survived by his wife Melody of 36 years; children Michael (Amy) Manwell, Jared (Casey) Manwell, George A. (Mindy) Underhill and Adam Underhill; grandchildren Cheyanne, jack, Ebhlin, Andrea, Gavin, Kylie, Luke, Brayden, Brycen, Kilah, Trinity, Haleigh, and Cora; several great grandchildren; mother Irma Underhill; brothers, Bruce (Peggy) Underhill, Donald Underhill; sisters, Beverly Knight, Barbara Underhill, and Becky (Bob) Shields; mother in law, Alice Griffith; co-worker, Blake Norman.
George was preceded in death by his father George L. Underhill and his brother, Ray Underhill.
George’s funeral service will be held on Sat, Jan 22 at 12 pm at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors – Lapeer, MI. Pastor Bruce Underhill will officiate. Friends may visit prior to the service from 10 am to 12 pm. George will be laid to rest at Metamora Cemetery.
