George C. Ries, 79, of 133 Clark Road, Dansville, died Wednesday at a Lansing hospital. Surviving are his wife, Vena; four sons, Dale of Dansville, Wayland of Fenton, George Jr, of Haslett and Gerald Cotton of Jackson; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Raimey of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Ralph of Fonana, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Ila Foster of Mason; 27 grandchildren; a step son, Eugene Weinert of The U.S. Army and stepdaughter, Caroline Alderman of Lansing. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Jewett Funeral Home followed by cremation.
