Mrs. Genevieve T. Marks, 82, of South Boardman, died Tue, Jan 12, 1999, at her home.
Mrs. Marks resided in Commerce Township until 1967, when she moved to Kalkaska County. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, the Boardman Area Senior Citizens, and was active at Twin Birch Golf Club. She enjoyed the outdoors.
Born in Keego Harbor on Oct 30, 1916, she was the daughter of Eugene and Josephine Dumas Thibodeau. On Dec 7, 1940, in Milford, she was united in marriage with George Marks, who preceded her in death on Jul 24, 1981.
Surviving are son George (Terrie) Marks of Commerce Township; sister Gertrude Atkins of Waterford; and grandsons Andrew (Annie) Marks of Ann Arbor and Aaron (Bonny) Marks of Farmington Hills.
Son William and nine siblings preceded her in death.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan 16 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska; Father Patrick J Barrett officiated. Burial will be in Boardman Township Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Boardman Area Senior Citizens.
