Genevieve M. Carlson, 75, of Kalkaska, died Jun 1, 1998, at Munson Medical Center.
She had lived in Brighton until moving to Kalkaska County in 1973.Mrs. Carlson was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and was active at the Kalkaska Senior Center.
Born in Lawrence County, IN, on May 30, 1923, she was the daughter of Raymond and Lola Burton Bowden. She married Herbert Carlson in Traverse City on Aug 11, 1972. He survives.
Also surviving are sons Mark Guthrie of Swede, Donald Carlson of Brighton and James and Del Carlson, both of Kalkaska; daughters Pat Klett of Indiana, Nancy Reynolds of Howell and Vanessa Naasko of Kalkaska; brother Vivian Bowden and sisters Ruby King and Helen Atkinson, all of Indiana; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sons Terry Bowden and Spencer Carlson.
Funeral services were held Jun 4 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges officiated. Cremation followed services.
