Gearold D. Potter of Manton died Thursday, Jan 23, 1992, at his home. He was 72.
Mr. Potter was born in Stittsville in Missaukee County on March 7, 1919. He married Emma Gonyer on Jan. 28, 1939 in Manton.
Mr. Potter grew up in Stittsville and Lansing. He was employed in the Lansing area at Oldsmobile and later at Ed’s Refinery before retiring and moving to Manton in 1977.
He attended the Rollins Christian Fellowship Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Emma; a son and his wife, Roger and Cleora Potter of Springfield, MO; two daughters, Gearoldine (Mrs. Thomas) Bishop of Lansing and Christine Almendarez of Eaton Rapids; two brothers, Danny and wife Marge Potter of Garreston, SD, and Frank Potter of Texas; two sisters in law, Bernadine Potter of Houghton Lake and Jean Griffith of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Agnes Potter; a sister, Dorothy Thompson, and two brothers, Garth and Robert Potter.
Services are 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Rollins Christian Fellowship Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
