Gary L. Williams of Fenton, formerly of Clio, died at home. A memorial service will be held 7pm Thu, Mar 4, 2004 the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home, Clio, Pastor Kennard VanKamp officiating. Private interment has take place. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2pm until time of service. Contributions in his memory may be made to one’s local Humane Society. Gary was born in Clio, Jul 6, 1947, a son of the late Clarence and Helen (Drake) Williams. He married Beth Ann Jolly on Jul 15, 1999 in Toledo, OH and lived in Fenton the past 6 years. He graduated from the University of Michigan and then received his master’s degree from Eastern University. Mr. Williams was an English teacher retiring from Huron Valley Schools in Jun of 2003 with 30 years of service. Gary loved the water, writing music, and poetry, martial arts, and playing the guitar. Surviving are: wife Beth; stepchildren, Cheyenne Carle of Saginaw, Robin Carle of Saginaw, Jennifer Alspaugh of FL and Matt Alspaugh of Fenton; dog and best friend, Beamus; 4 step grandchildren; brother, John (Sherry) Williams of Clio; several other relatives and friends. Gary was also preceded in death by his brother.
