Mr. Gary B. Sewell, 67, of Mount Airy passed away Mon, Jun 4, 2018, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Forsyth County on Mar 3, 1951, to JoAnn Hobson Sewell and to the late Milton Junior Sewell. Mr. Sewell was owner-operator of Professional Insurance Services. He was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher, and pianist. Gary loved riding his tractor, spending time on the farm, raising a garden, and playing golf with his friends. He was a friend to all who knew him and will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends. In addition to his mother, Mr. Sewell is survived by his loving wife, Pam Younger Sewell of the home; daughters and sons in law, Heather and Chris Martin, Amanda and Sammy Lawson, all of Mount Airy; grandchildren, Anna Grace Martin, Adam Martin, Jack Martin, John Martin, Sarah Jane Lawson, and Julie Anna Lawson; a sister and brother in law, Cheryl and Mike Easter of Mount Airy; brothers and sisters in law, Tony and Susan Sewell of Mountain Park, Rick and Donna Sewell of Rustburg, VA, Marty and Melissa Sewell of Pilot Mountain; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Fri, Jun 8 at 2 pm at Community Baptist Church with Bro. Sammy Lawson, the Rev. Marty Sewell, and the Rev. Rick Sewell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 until 8 pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd, Dobson, NC.
