Frieda R Matt, 89, of Kalkaska, died Sat, May 12, 2001, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Matt resided in Brighton prior to moving to Kalkaska county. She was employed Chrysler Corporation for 33 years before her retirement. She was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska.
She was born in Saline Township on Aug 18, 1911, daughter of the late Edward and Minnie Wild Guenther. She married Otto Matt in Milan on Dec 18, 1929. He preceded her in death on Nov 18, 1996.
Surviving are sons William (Shirley) Matt of Germfask and Jordan (Mary) Matt of Whitmore Lake; sisters Luella Rhoades of Tecumseh and Pauline Hansor of Plymouth; nine grandchildren; and several great and great great grandchildren.
Her daughter Dorothy Lewis and brother Paul Guenter preceded her in death.
Funeral services were May 24 at St Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska. Rev Ted Turanski officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
