Frederick Carl Waldron of Mt Morris, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Mon, Feb 11, 2019. A celebration of Fred’s life will be held from 1 pm until 4 pm on Sun, Mar 3, 2019 at The Knights of Columbus Hall – 11105 Dixie Hwy, in Birch Run. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Fred’s name may be made to the foster child organization that he and Mae belong to: New Light Child and Family Institute P.O. Box 359 Millington, MI 48746.
Fred was born Dec 11, 1950 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, IM to Neil and Gladys (Hocking) Waldron. He graduated from Flint Central High School in 1970. Fred met his soulmate, Mae Brown in 1974, they were married on Apr 30, 1977. They shared 45 years of happiness together. He retired from Hurley Medical Center in 2014 after 28 years of service. Family was the essence of Fred’s life, he was the happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Fred was the proud father of 27 children, and blessed with 45 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Aside from his children and grandchildren, Fred was a foster parent for 33 years and fostered over 400 children with his wife, Mae. Fred enjoyed collecting kids, old cars, knives, and coins. One of his favorite pastimes was attending concerts with his love, Mae. He lived a life of service and was proud to be an organ and tissue donor. Even in death, he wanted to service others. Fred truly enjoyed people, he never met a stranger and amassed many friends throughout his life.

Fred was preceded in death by his children: Scott, Logan, and Laura Waldron; father, Neil Waldron; sister, Marie Whitney; grandmothers: Naomi Hutchinson, and Hyacinth Hocking; grandfathers: Carl Waldron and Frederick Hocking; step mother, Joan Waldron; brother in law, Gary Whitney.
