Frank S. Bardwell of Springfield township died Tuesday of last week. Mr. Bardwell had been in ill health for quite a long time, but the news of his death came as quite a shock to many of his friends. He was an old pioneer of the county and had many acquaintances and friends not only in his own neighborhood, but in every portion of the county. He has always been a progressive citizen, taking active interest in affairs of his own community and the county and during the past few years has served Springfield Township as its clerk. Mr. Bardwell was a good neighbor and a kindly man and although he has suffered much during the past few years from ill health, was always cheerful and optimistic and made friends with all with whom he came in contact. The Leader joins the many friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
