Frank A. Thoms, 84, of Burlington died Aug. 18, 1989 at his home following a long illness.
He was born in Garrett, IN and lived in Mancelona as a youth. He moved to Battle Creek in 1922, returned to Mancelona in 1962 and moved to Burlington in 1981.
He was supervisor for Blue Lake Township, Kalkaska County, following his retirement from Eaton Manufacturing Co.
He was past worshipful master with Bedford Lodge 207, past worthy patron of Bedford Chapter 471, Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the Burlington Men's Club.
Surviving are his wife Mary Alma (Thomet) and daughter Phyllis Mapes of Battle Creek; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Tredow of Battle Creek.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug 21 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home in Battle Creek. Interment was in Burlington Cemetery.
