Mr. Johnson, age 78, died May 20, 2001. Born Oct 9, 1922, in Empire, to William and Marie (Dorsey) Johnson, he had lived in the area for many years. On Dec 31, 1941, he married the former Marjorie LaRue, who preceded him in death in 1990. He had worked as a machinist & set up man at Teledyne Continental for 42 years until retiring, was a member of Local 113 and Don Rea VFW Post #8846. Mr. Johnson served in the US Army in Europe and Africa during WWII. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pat Johnson; a sister, Gertrude Burns; and a brother, Robert Johnson.
3 sons, Francis "Frank" Jr. (Kathryn) Johnson of Muskegon, Noble "Buzz" Johnson of CA and Gregory "Zeke" Johnson of Muskegon; 2 daughters, Cheryl (Jim) Edsall and Laura (Dan) Thompson, both of Twin Lake; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Vernon (Donna) Johnson of Saginaw; 2 sisters, Marie Krause of Ravenna and Doris Staton of Bay City.
