F. Emerson “Shorty” Zent Sr., of Fort Wayne, died on Fri, Jun 3, 2011 at his home. Born Sept 26, 1935 in Fort Wayne to the late Emerson and Hilda Zent. Shorty worked at Harvester 9 years and later for the City of Fort Wayne Filtration Plant for 5 years.
Surviving are his wife, Marlene Zent, Corunna, IN, sons, Emerson (Debb) Zent Jr., Waterloo, IN, Billy Joe (Serina) Zent, Corunna, IN, Scott Alan (Larkin) Zent, Corunna, IN, daughters, Lorene (Bill) Chadwell, Roanoke, IN, Dee (Shane) Keister, Huntington, IN, 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a sister.
He was preceded in death by 1 grandchild and 1 sister.
Service is 1pm Tue at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling also from 2-4 and 6-8pm Mon at funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
