Frances Eleanor Campbell, 91, of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., formerly of Fife Lake, passed away quietly with her family around her at McLaren-Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant on Friday, September 21, 2012. She was born on January 20, 1921 to Jerome and Lena (Miller) Robinson.

Eleanor married William (Bill) Austin Campbell in October 1947. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Eleanor loved spending her days talking to her family on the phone, watching her birds, crocheting, playing euchre with her family (sometimes having trouble with her elbow slipping and moving score cards to her favor) and caring for her cat, Kat. She loved to fish and pick mushrooms, frying them up for family and friends, platters at a time. She was always there for her family and lived for the times they were all together, especially Thanksgiving deer camp at “The Farm” and the 4th of July at Fife Lake.

Eleanor is survived by her children: Barbara and Don Watt of Lake Fenton, Mich., Donald and Carol Coffee of St. Petersburn, Fla, Marilyn Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., Steve Campbell of Fife Lake, Mich., Mary Jo and Doug Freeman of Grand Junction, Colo.; a brother, Jack Robinson; grandchildren: Pam Edwards, Ron Watt, Steve Coffee, Donna Lynn Katseyiannes, Jennifer Campbell, Joel Austin Campbell and Chris Freeman; great grandchildren: Steven Lee Edwards, Sarah Watt, Michael Watt, Heather Campbell, Mikayla Grace Campbell, Cassidy Campbell, Skyler William Campbell, Jaclin Rose Campbell, Katie Coffee and Joey Katseyiannes; and geat great grandchildren: Haley Frances Campbell and Aryanna Campbell. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, sister Lorraine, granddaughter Wendy Jean Watt, grandsons Lewis William (Billy) Campbell and Jonathan William Campbell.

At her request, no service will be held at this time. In the spring of 2013, her ashes will be placed beside her husband and family at the Garfield Township Cemetery in Kalkaska County, where family and friends can gather to celebrate her life.
