Floyd Tubbs, 63, of South Boardman, a retired welder, died Thursday, Sept 6, 1990, at Peninsula Medical Center in Ormond Beach, Fla.
Mr. Tubbs served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a member of V.F.W. Post 8087 in Eustis, Fla., and Local 190, Plumbers and Pipe Fitters.
He was born in Amagon, Ark. on May 23, 1927, to Jim and Gay Bell Street Tubbs. He was married on Dec. 5, 1953, in Kingsley to Sonia Larson who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Lloyd of Kalkaska, and Mark of South Boardman; two daughters, Jackie of Traverse City, and Paulette of Kalamazoo; two brothers, Kenneth of Louisiana and Ernest of Arkansas; one sister, Dovie of Louisiana; and several grandchildren.
One brother, Delmer and one sister, Agness, preceded him in death.
Private family services were held Monday, Sept. 10, 1990, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Gary Wales officiated. Burial was in Boardman Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
