Floyd L. Pete, 83, of Williamsburg, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 19, 1991, at Grand Traverse Community Hospital in Traverse City.
Mr. Pete moved to Williamsburg from Newport in 1964. He was a retired farmer and electrical contractor. Mr. Pete was a former member of St. Charles Catholic Church, the Swan Boat Club, and the Newport Volunteer Fire Department. Currently, he was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska, and St. Joseph the Worker Council 7419, Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Pete was born in Erie, Mich. on Aug 9, 1907 to Albert and Laura Russeau Pete. On March 1, 1926, inTrenton, he was united in marriage with Bertha Droulliard who preceded him in death on Nov 29, 1988.
Surviving are two sons, Floyd Pete Jr. of Monroe and Hartwell Pete of San Clemente, Calif.; three daughters, Joy Revard of Carlton, Patricia Kleine of Sturgis, an Cheryle Shinaver of Sterling Heights; one brother, Russell Pete of South Rockwood; one sister, Naomi Lindly of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
ass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday Jan 22, 1991 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska. Father Patrick J. Barrett officiated. Burial was in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery at Barker Creek.
The Rosary was recited Monday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
