Floyd G. Bigelow, 79, 313 W. Hendricks St., died at 12:30pm Wed at Methodist Hospital, where he had been a patient one month. He had been seriously ill several months. Mr. Bigelow who spent most of his life in Michigan, was a heavy equipment mechanic. He moved to Shelbyville in 1970 and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Born December 22, 1899 in Genesee County, MI, a son of Lewis Hiram and Parna Eliza (Gilbert) Bigelow, he was married Jun 28, 1970 to Mrs. Gertrude (Parker) Keaton, who survives. Also surviving are six stepchildren, Mrs. Bob (Marilyn) Carew, Shelbyville, Richard Keaton, Acton, Joseph Keaton, Sidney, Australia, Ronald Keaton, Springfield, OH, and Steven and Kevin Hunter both of Louisiana. And a sister, Mrs. Martha Bragg, Detroit, MI. A brother and two sisters preceded him in death. Services will be at 2pm Sat at the Carmony Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Miles officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-9pm Fri.
