Florence L. Davenport, 79, of McBain, a former resident of Kalkaska, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 26, 1990 at Autumnwood of McBain.
Mrs. Davenport had lived in Kalkaska for 51 years until moving to McBain. She and her husband owned and operated Davenport Real estate and Insurance Agency in Kalkaska for many years prior to their retirement.
Mrs. Davenport was a member of The Peoples Church, the Rebekah Lodge, and the Elona-Columbia Chapter 99 Order of Eastern Star.
She was born in Sherman on July 31, 1911 to Herman and Fanny Bellow Wygant. On October 3, 1933, in Bristol, Ind., she was married to John D. Davenport who preceded her in death on September 21, 1984.
Surviving are two daughters, Sally Hull of Rochester, and Bonnie Kolarevic of Cadillac; one sister, Kathleen Worley of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Hansen.
Funeral services were held Sept 29, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church officiated. Burial was in Lake City Cemetery.
