Mrs. Florence (Bancroft) Raftery, 75, of Brandenton, FL, died Wed, at the Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bardenton.
She is survived by two sons, Clair G. Raftery of Bradenton, and Marshall G. Raftery of Brutus; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Zehnder of Walled Lake; three brothers, Carl Bancroft of Lido Beach, FL, Melvin Bancroft of Garden City and Burton Bancroft of Columbia, CA; and one sister, Mrs. Doris Fika of Saginaw.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norville Raftery.
She was the daughter of Clarence and Alma (Mutchler) Bancroft, born Mar 12, 1902 in Fife Lake.
Mrs. Raftery was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in Bardenton. She had lived in Bardenton for the last 20 years and lived in Dearborn before that. She grew up in Fife Lake, leaving Fife Lake in the 1930’s for Dearborn.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sat at 11am at the Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley with the Rev. Lewis Buchner officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kingsley. Friends may call at the funeral home Fri from 3-9pm.
