Mrs. Fanny L. Hovey, 96, of Kalkaska, died Friday morning, Aug. 18, 1989, at Lakeview Lutheran Manor in Cadillac.
Mrs. Hovey moved to Kalkaska 28 years ago from Marion. Shew as a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and playing bridge.
Mrs. Hovey was born in Isabella County on July 17, 1893, to Ralph and Florence Smith Bellows. On July 25, 1921, in Mt. Pleasant, she was united in marriage with Milo Hovey who preceded her in death in 1958.
Surviving are two daughters, Florence Davenport of McBain, and Kathleen Worley of Tampa, Flo; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
One daughter, Dorothy Hansen, and two brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 19 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Kalkaska. Fr. Patrick J. Barrett officiated. Burial was in Lake City Cemetery, Lake City.
Funeral arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
