Eugene L. Smith, 28, of Kalkaska, died Tue, Apr 20, 1993, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Eugene had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska and attended Kalkaska High School. At the time of his death he was employed by C.H. & P Well Drilling. He enjoyed playing basketball and the outdoors.
He was born in Kalkaska on Feb 8, 1965 to Robert and Phyllis Cross Smith.
Surviving are one daughter, Katie Smith of Kalkaska; his mother Phyllis Smith of Kalkaska; one brother, Tim Smith of Kalkaska; four sisters, Mrs. Jim (Carla) Demin of Kalkaska, Dorothy Nelson of Bloomington, IN, Sandy Smith of Corvalis, OR, and Mrs. Matthew (Robin) Richmond of Twenty Nine Palms, CA; two nieces, three nephews, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.
Memorial services were held Fri, Apr 23, 1993, at Kalkaska United Methodist Church. Rev. Dick Riley officiated. Memorial gifts may be made for the benefit of Katie Smith, and sent to Mrs. Carla Demin, P.O. Box 34, Kalkaska, MI 49646. Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
