Eugene Doss, 73, o South Boardman, died Sat, Sep 11, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Doss was born in Red Jacket, WV, on Jul 26, 1926, son of the late Neal and Gladys Murphy Doss. He married Mary Slater on Oct 15, 1945, in Pikesville, KY.
Mr. Doss served with the U.S. Navy during WWII, and was employed by the United Mine Workers prior to his retirement. In 1983, he moved to Kalkaska County from Huntington, WV.
Surviving are wife Mary; sons Larry of Sarasota, FL, Roger (Debbie) of Mason, Tom of South Boardman, Ron of FL, and Ken (Sally) of Kalkaska; daughters Carol (Lawrence) Nowak of Jacksonville, FL, and Cathy (Robin) Richey of Fife Lake; sisters Geneva Slater and Margaret Doss, both of Williamson, WV, and Mable Thompson of durham, NC; grandchildren Eddie Grebik, Joe Grebik, Josh Nowak, Melissa Doss, Rodger Doss, Roxanne Doss, Vanessa Doss, Rene Doss, Christopher Doss, Kurt (Glenna) Doss, and Brittany Witkop; and great grandchildren Glen, Kyle, and Kody Doss.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Funeral services were Sep 14 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. Ken Doss officiated. Inurnment will be in Boardman Township Cemetery.
