E.A. (Gene) Snyder, 59, died suddenly late Fri night at his cabin at Forest Green Camp on King's Hill near White Sulphur Springs, from a heart attack. Friends said Sat that he had appeared in good health until the attack. The body is at the Croxford mortuary. Funeral arrangements will be completed when distant relatives are heard from.

Snyder was born Mar 14, 1885 in Kansas City, MO, and came to Montana 35 years ago. He engaged in various busijesses in Great Galls and at one time owned and operated the Palace pool hall. In 1930, he retired from business and purchased the properties housing the Star Cigar Store, the Brunswick Hotel, and Cohn's Cigar Store. He also owned residential property in Great Falls, farm property in Kansas and was co-owner with Edmundson, the inventor, of the Lugene Valve, which measures the contents of containers. Since his retirement in 1930, he had spent his winters in CA and KS and his summers in Great Falls and at Forest Green, where he had rented the same cabin for 15 years. When in Great Falls, he lived at the home of his brother, Harry, 411 Sixth St, N. 

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Mae Snyder; three brothers, Park Snyder of Santa Cruz, CA; Ed Snyder of Tacoma and Harry of Great Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Andretta Evans of Great Falls, Mrs. Ellen Morrison of Tacoma, Mrs. Ruth Ellis of Bakersfield, CA and several nieces and nephews.
