Mrs. Ethel Barber, aged 76, of 933 Hollywood St, NE, the widow of Francis C Barber, passed away Monday night, Nov 10, 1980 at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Carol) Newville of Belmont; two sons, Francis C Barber Jr and wife, Rosann of Auburn, MI and Donald J Barber of Grand Rapids; 15 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Lottie) Chlebek and Mrs. Martin (Helen) Steensma both of Grand Rapids; nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 Thursday morning in Blessed Sacrament Church, 2233 Diamond Ave NE, with Rev Edward Statkus as celebrant. Interment in Fairplains Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet her family at the chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Wednesday. A Rosary will be recited at 7 on Wed evening. Mrs. Barber reposes at the Reyers North Valley Funeral Chapel, 2815 Fuller NE at 3 Mile Rd.
