Eric Norman Johnson, 40. of Truckee, Calif., died Fri- day. Aug. 22, 2003, at his home in the Tahoe-Donner As- sociation subdivision.
A memorial service was held on Aug. 28 at the beautiful Euer Valley Ranch near his home.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Macomber, of Truckee; father, Norman Johnson of Chicago; mother, Ruth (Gruendling) Johnson of Washington D.C.; and sister, Kristina Swetnum of Kansas City.
Eric was born on March 12, 1963. in Indianapolis, Ind. He was a gentle soul and everyone that knew him respected his integrity.
Eric attended Mehlville High School in St. Louis and graduated in 1981. He graduated magna cum laude from Duke University in 1984 and graduated from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business in 1990.
Eric's business career took him all over the globe, where he made lifelong friendships in Europe and Taiwan.
Eric met his wife, Linda, in 1999 and they lived happily in Truckee where he was active in the community, teaching at Sierra Nevada College and working with Caring About Kids. Eric loved the outdoors and recently completed his first triathlon. He also loved going for walks in the beautiful Lake Tahoe area with his wife and three dogs.
Eric will be missed by all and is loved very much.
