Elmer E. (Jack) Herndon, 93, died Tuesday, Sept 25, 1990 at Garden City Hospital in Garden City.
Mr. Herndon was a self-employed electrical engineer. He owned and operated Reid Electric in Highland Park. He had lived for a time at Bear Lake in Kalkaska County. He was a veteran of World War I.
Mr. Herndon was born at Hanson's Ferry, Washington on Sept 25, 1897 to Frank and Lilla McNeill Herndon. He was married to Eva E. who preceded him in death on Nov. 10, 1988.
He is survived by two sons, Frank of Northville and Boyd of New Port Richey, Fla.; two sisters, Floy Engstrom of Clarkston, Wash. and Gertrude Barthemer of Bellevue, Wash., four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, Sept 28 at Sorenson Funeral Home, McEvers Chapel, Grayling. Dr. Dennis Paulson officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Grayling.
