Mrs. Ellen C. VandenBosch, 63, a lifelong resident of Kalkaska, died Monday, December 10, 1990, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. VandenBosch and her husband owned Art's Sport Shop in Kalkaska for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Stars, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Before retiring, she was employed at Crafthouse.
Born on Jan. 28, 1927, she was the daughter of Rodney and Mamie (Donathan) Wells. On March 17, 1951, she married Arthur VandenBosch at th Peoples Church in Kalkaska. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1987.
Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey VandenBosch and Duane VandenBosch, both of Kalkaska; one daughter, Mrs. James (Diann) Vipond of Kalkaska; her mother, Mrs. Mamie Wells of Kalkaska; seven grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec 14, 1990 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of the Peoples Church, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
