Eleanor R. Stevens, 82, of Kalkaska, died Sun, Aug 6, 2000, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mrs. Stevens resided in Dearborn Heights until 1979, when she oved to Kalkaska. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the VFW Auxiliary, and a volunteer at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and her family.
She was born in Detroit on Apr 15, 1918, the daughter of John and Ethel Parsons Elliott. She married Clyde Stevens in Detroit on Aug 22, 1942. He died on Nov 9, 1995.
Surviving are son Ross Stevens of Kalkaska; daughter Cheryl Ford of Mancelona; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Son Jack Stevens and sister Viola Barker preceded her in death.
Funeral services are at 2 pm Wed, Aug 9 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. Ted Turanski will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
