Eleanor Louise (Love) Stampfler, 82, of Delton, died Wed, Jun 5, 1996, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Jun 17, 1913, in Olivet to Scott E and Henrietta F (Ely) Love. During her early years she had much responsibility for helping in caring for her siblings. She was the second oldest in a family of 12.
She married Joseph P Stampfler. He died Apr 9, 1996.
She worked with her husband operating the family farm in Hickory Corners-Delton area for 54 years.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Thaddeus J Stampfler; a grandson, Mark E Pierce; a granddaughter, Patricia Ann Stampfler; brothers, Herbert, Wilbur, and Owen Love; and a sister, Eloise Dahn.
Surviving are sons, Richard Stampfler of MA, Phillip and Rodney Stampfler, both of Delton, and Michael Stampfler of Portage; daughters, Marlyn Rees and Jean Pierce, both of Dowling; 18 grandchildrne; 34 great grandchildren; brothers, Jack Love of Bellevue, Ned Love of Charlotte, and Willard Love of Bellevue; sisters, Margaret Halsey of Osseo, Charlotte Swartz of Bellevue, Phyllis Jones of North Hollywood, CA, and Marie Garity of Nashville.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
