Funeral services were held today for Edwin Hurlburt, 63, who died following a stroke on Friday night. Coming to Newberry 24 years ago Mr. Hurlburt had worked in the sawmills of the community and with Mrs. Hurlburt has raised a family of two sons and three daughters, whom, with their mother survive. Mr. Hurlburt was born in Little Rock, Ark Mar 29, 1881. The sons are Edwin J of Allegan, MI and Russell of Newberry, and the daughters are Mrs. Walter Sik of Petosky, Mrs. Harry Oesterle of Pontiac, and Mrs. M.T. Noblin of Detroit.
Funeral services were held from the family residence on Truman avenue at 2:30 on Friday with Rev. Ralph Garrison of the Presbyterian church officiating and burial took place in Forest Home Cemetery.
