Edwin John Terry Sr, 85, of Kalkaska died Fri, Aug 11, 2006, at the Grand Traverse Pavilions in Traverse City. 

Ed was born on Mar 23, 1921, in Detroit, the son of Frank and Sophia (Kusara) Jastrzembski. 

He married Thea Gulish on May 8, 1942, in Brighton. 

A tool and die maker, Ed was employed at Heidrich tool and Die, retiring as a supervisor with the company. 

In 1992, he and his wife moved to Kalkaska, having previously lived in Rochester. Ed was a veteran, having served at Ft. Benning, GA, with the US Army during WWII, was a member of St Mary's of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. 

As a hobby, Ed enjoyed woodworking. 

Survivors include his children and grandchildren, Edwin J (Laura) Terry Jr and their children, Kevin and Michael of MO, Dianne (Leonard) Wernette and their children, Dawn, Michael, Karen, and Cindy of Farmington Hills, Carolyn "Tomy" (Rodg) Davis-King and her daughter, Karina of OH, Thea (James) Boice and their children, Adam, Ian, Maggie, and Thea of Oakland, Travis Terry and his children, April and Christopher, Tim (Joyce) Terry and their children, Melissa and Jennifer of Colorado Springs, CO, Tamala "Tammy" (Robert) Boice and their children Alexandra, Derek, and Roxanne of Metamora. 

Also surviving are 15 great grandchildren; and brothers, Julius (Micheline "Mickey") Shensky and John (Angeline) Jastrzembski. 

In addition to his wife, Ed was preceded in death by his parents. 

A memorial service was held on Sat, Aug 19, at St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska. 

The family is being served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
