Edward J Drogosch Jr, 74, of Mancelona, died Sat, Sep 12, 1998, at his home on Starvation Lake. 

Edward was born Jul 13, 1924, in Detroit, the son of Edward J Sr and Marie (Pawlowski) Drogosch. On Jun 29, 1946, i Detroit, he married Edith Walter. 

Edward grew up in Detroit and graduated from St. Phillip Neri High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European theater. Edward managed a security service in Ann Arbor for many years. He moved to the Starvation Lake area in 1972. Edward and Edith owned and operated the Hide Away Bar in that area from 1973 to 1987. He enjoyed his family and friends. 

He is survived by wife Edith Drogosch of Mancelona; children Don (Ellen) Drogosch of Livonia, Doug (Kay) Drogosch of Jackson, Robert (Melinda) Drogosch of WA, Sue (Michael) Hand of the Virgin Islands, and Edward J (Kim) Drogosch III of Livonia; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers James (Peggy) Drogosch of Waterford, Daniel (Tosca) Drogosch of NY, Chuck (Colleen) Drogosch of Waterford, and Jack (Mary) Drogosch of Livonia; sisters Cecile (Joe) Mauterer of Warren, Pattie Kanopski of Livonia, Theresa Davis of Northville, Fran Dempsey of Livonia and Marianne Moore of Maryland; and many nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by his parents. 

Funeral services were Sep 15 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona; Father Dale Magoon officiated. 

The family was served by the Paullin-Penzien Funeral Home in Mancelona. 

Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
