The body of Pfc. Edward C. Olson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Olson of Suttons Bay, who was killed in action at Okinawa on May 1, 1945, will arrive here this noon and will be taken to the Martinson funeral home in Suttons Bay.

A military funeral will be conducted for Pfc. Olson Sat afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Martinson Funeral Home, with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Pfc. Olson was born in Suttons Bay on Jun 18, 1914. He entered the service Jun 19, 1941 and saw action at Saipan, Hebrides and Okinawa.

Besides his parents he is survived by two brothers, Louis and Albert of Suttons Bay; five sisters, Mrs. Herman Fischer and Mrs. Francis Herman, both of Suttons Bay, Mrs. Owen Hoyt of Detroit, Mrs. William Johnson of Plymouth, and Mrs. John Meek of Hazel Park.
