Edith N. Ball, 85, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Oct 27, 1997, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Ball moved to Kalkaska from Bellaire in 1965. She was a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ and Kalkaska Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Ball was born on Nov 24, 1911, in Charlevoix County, to Walter and Della (Baker) Carson. She married Frank Severance on Aug 2, 1931,in Boyne City, who preceded her in death Jul 23, 1980. She then married Ralph Ball Mar 10, 1983, in Bristol, FL. He died May 2, 1985.
Surviving are sons Frank Severance of Bristol, FL and William Severance of Kalkaska; daughter Virginia Franke of Traverse City; brother Boyd Carson of East Jordan; sisters Fern Shaler of Boyne City and Judy Callesen of Mancelona; half sisters Elsie Carson of Detroit and Susie Willis of Conway; six grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Mrs. Ball was preceded in death by her son Donald in 1995; infant daughter Kathryn; and special friend Elmer Simkins in 1995.
Memorial services were held Nov 1 at Wolfe Funeral Home. E. Dan Johnson officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
