Edith Marie VanAmberg, passed away on Fri, Jun 11, 2010 surrounded by her family at her home. She was born on Apr 5, 1925 in Rexton, the daughter of the late William and Pearl (Kill) Sherlock.
Edith married Elmer J VanAmburg on May 8, 1946 in South Boardman. She worked at Morgan Canning Factory in Traverse City for many years retiring in 1969. Edith also worked at the Kal-Ho.
Surviving Edith are her children, Anna Mae (David) Bell of Kalkaska, Jimmey D (Patty) VanAmburg of Port Charlotte, FL, Janet M (James) Johnson of Saline, and Ruth I (Donald) Murden of Kalkaska; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two great great grandsons; her siblings, Inis Brooks of Kalkaksa, Clifford (Maurice) Sherlock of Hawkins, TX, Theresa Schults of Wellston; and many adopted grandchildren.
Preceding Edith in death was her husband and her siblings, Neva, Orvall, Evart, Wayne, and Grover.
Visitation will be held on Mon, Jun 14 from 5 to 9 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Tue at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
