Earnie L. Newmarch, 89, of Buckley died May 17 at his home.
A lifelong area resident, he was born August 21, 1888 in Kingsley, the son of Andrew and Maggie (Halsted) Newmarch.
He married Frances Lance on September 20, 1920 in Pontiac. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Lloyd of Tampa, FL, and Harold of Pontiac; a daughter, Helen Steed of Stockton, CA; a brother, Earl of Kingsley; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Laura Cornell, Cora Delancy and Cecil Courtade.
Mr. Newmarch was a retired building contractor and a member of the Buckley Wayside Chapel.
The funeral will be at 2pm Sat at the Wayside Chapel, the Rev. Gerald Hedlund officiating.
Burial will be in the Cornell Cemetery, Buckley. Friends may call at the Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley until 9pm Fri. Visitation at the church is 1 to 2 pm Sat.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Buckley Wayside Chapel.
