Earl (Mac) McCoy, 90, died May 3, 2000, from cancer at his home in Naples, FL.
Mr. McCoy moved to Kalkaska County from Grand Rapids in 1945 and built Mac's Resort at Manistee Lake. He remained in the area until 1988 when he moved permanently to Naples and became charter captain of his beloved boat The Real McCoy.
For many years in the early 1950s, he managed the bowling alley located in the basement of the old Kalkaska Hotel.
He is survived by his wife Thelma of Naples, daughter Jean Marshall (Warren) of Murrieta, CA; sister Margaret Ellis of Deltona, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
