Earl J Abeare Sr, 82, of Fife Lake, died Mon, Sep 1, 1997, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Abeare was employed as a security guard at Ford Hospital prior to his retirement following 15 years of service. He moved to Fife Lake from Lincoln Park 22 years ago.
Born in Ecorse on Sep 15, 1914, he was the son of Jacob and Margueritte Scheffler Abeare. On Apr 3, 1937, in Carleton, he was united in marriage with Helen Gasper who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by sons, Earl Abeare Jr of Fife Lake and Earnest Abeare of South Rockwood; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The rosary was recited on Wednesday evening.
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Father Patrick J Barrett officiated.
Burial was in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
